Sheoak King Size Bed
This bed was made from a photo and redesigned to my specifications.
The material is Australian Sheoak and I French polished the bed by hand.
The whole bed is bolted together using twelve 15mmm bolts with square nuts secured into the bed rails.
Carved Pine Single Bed
I was commissioned to build a bed for a customer’s daughter after being shown a photo of a plain four poster pine bed with instructions to include a headboard.
After some deliberation I showed the customer a picture of a lilypond with koi fish swimming around and they liked the idea of having this included in the headboard.
The finials unscrew releasing the railing and curtain rods from the top. It is then a matter of removing the bed slats and eight bolts the have the bed disassemble for moving.
Painted Pine Single Bed
I was commissioned to build a single bed for a customer’s daughter which was going to be painted white to match the bedroom décor.
Radiata pine was chosen as the construction material being strong and medium priced. The finials on top unscrew allowing the whole pelmet section to be removed. After this there are two bolts per post and the bed will completely disassemble into 11 main pieces, four finials and 13 mattress slats.
