My
Services
I started in furniture at the age of 15 and have worked on modern furniture, reproduction furniture and restoration, traditional design and free form styles using native timbers from Tasmania and all around the world.
During my time in Tasmania I also studied blacksmithing, mostly learning to make tools.
My services include cabinet making, wood carving, wood turning, cabinet glazing, traditional upholstery diamond pleating and French polishing. I love to use my extensiveve knowledge in the restoration of antique furniture across all facets of the craft to create your heritage pieces.

Bonsai
I had my first bonsai in Tasmania, an apple tree that would grow a full-size apple on this little tree no taller than a foot ruler. I now have a small number of threes and became a member of the bonsai Workshop in Perth as Secretary for three years. During this time I provided an example of a bonsai show table to one of the auctions with several orders coming for more.
Bonsai tables can be plain or elaborate and come in many sizes, styles, shapes and colours. There is also an enormous variety of woods to choose from for making tables and other items.
It was during this time I was asked if I could mount some viewing stones (Suiseki) with a number of bases completed.

- Suiseki stands
Art
I have always had a love for Japanese and Chinese art, especially in the way they were able to capture the essence of the moment with a few brush strokes.
I do not aim to replicate their skill, though to enjoy the process and work the mind with new techniques as I move to an older age.
I studied martial arts for around 25 years including kung fu and karate which has had a major influence on my life.
